This is a build i figured out for an ele in pvp, i tested it and it works pretty well

Earth magic: 12 + 1 + 3
Energy storage: 12 + 1 (or more, to max out your energy)

Skils:

- Stone daggers
- Obsidian flame
- Aura of restoration
- Earth atunement
- Armor of earth
- Kenetic armor
- Obsidian flesh
- Rezurect signet

Before you can enter the arena cast aura of restoration and earth atunement.
Before you fight your enemys cast armor of earth and kenetic armor, attack right after it with stone daggers. You have to watch out with obsidian flame, cast it again when your exsoustian is finished, keep your armor spels up.
Also cast obsidian flesh for those enoying mesmers, necromancers and touch rangers.
when this one is maxed out you have 21 sec + enchant mod 25 sec, and it has a recharge of 20 sec, so you have a gap of 5 sec
Notice that you must keep obsidian flesh active, or else you will get nasty mesmer spels.

You are fighting in the arena with 226 armor, i prefer to use tempest armor, cuz it give +10 armor bonus while enchanted

Weapon:

use a 20 % chanse casting time and 20% chanse recharge time earth staf, mod it with insightful +5 and enchanting last 19 or 20% longer

Note:

If you think you dont have enough energy, use ether renewal instead of obsidian flame, to fill your energy bar

Counters:

Distract rangers, like i said about mesmers, and if you could figure out a counter

There are no tanks in PvP.

While you have a lot of defense on this bar, you're basically unable to do anything which harms the other team. Obsidian Flame isn't at all spammable because of Exhaustion, and Stone Daggers just isn't enough damage to make them worry. They can just ignore you and kill your teammates, then gang up on you 4v1 until the match is over.

I'd suggest playing a more disruptive ele. A Blindbot is a great start.

-Lightning Orb

-Deep Freeze
-Draw Conditions
-Healing Breeze
-Ether Prodigy*
-Res Sig

This guy has defense in the form of blinds on opposing warriors, and that defense applies to any member of your team. He can also snare and deal some damage to drop a low target through Lightning Orb. Draw pulls conditions off your warrior buddies and Breeze is a self-heal against incidental damage.

People need to realize that tanking builds are destroyed by the tab button. Especially tanking builds that can't do anything useful outside of tanking.

hmm ok thnks anyway, but i tryed it out though, and you have high armor, and i think your right anyway... but when you keep your armor lvl high, you can kill your enemys by on a relaxed, although they can heal.. hmm i should think about the build that you adviced me

hmm wel, im just thinking about build you know, and testing them for myself, but it doesnt mather when somebody doesnt like it. you im just new in pvp, i'm more a pve/farming type of person, but i started to like pvp with a rt you know
